![]() ![]() We do our best to find tops in very good condition, but they are now 17-23 years old and WILL show some signs of use. Still have not run across a Paradise Blue top, though, sorry. On very rare occasion we can find a white top (6 in 14 years), or an Electric Green Mica top (4 in 14 years). Inquire for other colors, we get them in Black, Phantom Grey Pearl, Solar Yellow, Red, 8M6 Blue, and Silver. The price is all-inclusive (hardtop, hardware and shipping), but the purchaser is responsible for any import duties (typically ~$80 in the USA) billed by the carrier (DHL). The hard tops are stored overseas and shipped air express directly to your door in the USA (shipping for other locations is available but may vary on price). The hardtops come with all the hardware needed to attach it to your Spyder - side posts, rear clips, bolts and a defogger wire unless otherwise noted. Please do let us know if you would like to be notified when a top of any particular color comes in, most of them get sold before we get to post them on this site. We are always getting more, but there is a list of people waiting for them and they rarely make it to this website. If you are interested in purchasing this top without side striker posts for $3500, just ask. Same theory applied, red is actually the easiest light on a person's eyes in the dark, it barely causes any dilation at all.Genuine factory OEM Toyota hardtops for your 2000-2006 MR2 Spyder My front map lights are now red instead of white, so me or a passenger can use them at night without blinding the driver (me) and making it impossible to see the road. Maybe to some it doesn't, but in my experience it does. I've also read arguments stating that foglight color makes no difference. I have also hit a couple patches of fog so bad that I couldn't see anything at all with any headlights on (here's were the 4300k bulbs would beat the 5000k bulbs, maybe) and I had to creep at 30-40mph with just the fogs on. I even complained to my passenger one night about my lights being less bright than usual, turned out I had accidently bumped the fog switch off with my knee. When I'm out in the dark at night I do feel like having both sets of lights on gives me the best visibility. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the setup, the fogs aren't crazy bright but they do throw fairly far, and wide (huge increase of peripheral visibility). If I didn't install fogs I would've went with the Nightbreakers. I will admit I got the CBIs instead of Nightbreakers (4300k) for looks, and planned to balance the total output color with the yellow fogs. On my DD I use Osram CBIs (5000k) and 3000k LED fogs. But what about yellow light, which is easier on the eyes and increases contrast? These cars are tricky at the limit especially when the suspension is upgraded and the tires are very sticky.Ĭontinuing the headlight/foglights conversation: I understand too much foreground can decrease long range visibility by dilating the drivers pupils, if the said foreground light is white or bluish. This can be done by locating your nearest SCCA SOLO autocross. When you are ready purchase and install the engine management and get used to tuning the engine is slightly more forgiving NA mode.Fuel filter and while you're at it you may as well install a new pump.Repair or replace ebrake cables as needed.Replace the rotten coolant hoses so you don't end up stranded or with a blown head gasket from overheating. The stock lights suck hard compared to other sports cars. Upgrade the lighting so you can see at night.I highly suggest you focus on ALL the supporting equipment first. You will have to do quite a lot of extra stuff. Yes, there are a few kits but nothing is a really complete bolt-on. ![]()
